The Thrive! Inspiring ND Women employee resource group (ERG) is partnering with many other ERGs to kick off the 2021-22 academic year with the first-ever joint Notre Dame Employee Resource Group Welcome Back Picnic. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, in the Mary Loretta and Terrence J. Dillon Courtyard outside the Snite Museum of Art. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own lunch and enjoy dessert and bottled water provided by Thrive!, as well as other goodies provided by ERGs. You can RSVP to the event here.
“One of Thrive’s main initiatives this year is partnering with other ERGs across campus for increased professional development opportunities and enhanced engagement around relevant issues in an effort to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with Notre Dame's mission and values,” said Kara Palmer, Thrive! President and director of administration in the Office of the Dean at the Mendoza College of Business.
“All faculty and staff are welcome to join us for fellowship, networking and an opportunity to learn more about the ERGs on campus. Everyone is welcome to come when they can and stay however long they’d like,” said Palmer.
The ERGs are sponsored by the Office of Human Resources and “support networking and community-building among staff members.” The ERGs include the following:
- AdelanteND: Latinx Staff and Faculty Association
- Black Faculty and Staff Association
- Notre Dame Staff of International Descent
- Notre Dame Veterans Association
- SPECTRUM LGBTQ+ & Ally
- THRIVE! Inspiring ND Women
- Young Leaders of Notre Dame
