June was National Safety Month, and to mark the occasion NDWorks and TheWeek@ND featured articles that highlighted a different safety topic each week. Readers took a short quiz for a chance at a small prize (a Voluntary Protection Program pen) and to be entered in the grand-prize drawing for a $100 Meijer gift card. Quiz questions included: Name one of the events or exposures that can lead to a musculoskeletal disorder. (Answer: Repetitive motion, overexertion) or, Which group on campus provides office and job task ergonomic evaluations? (Answer: Notre Dame Wellness Center.)
Of the nearly 600 people who participated, Nancy Williams, an event coordinator for Three Leaf Catering, was the grand-prize winner. The contest was sponsored by Risk Management and Safety.
