Douglas Road, from Twyckenham Drive to the Warren Golf Course entrance, reopened Monday, Aug. 15. Douglas is expected to fully open from Twyckenham to Indiana 23 at the end of this month.
North-south traffic on Ironwood Road will remain closed until October. Future improvements at Ironwood’s intersection with Douglas include the addition of turning lanes and upgraded traffic lights.
Phases one and two of the Douglas Road project began in the spring, with phases three and four scheduled for next year. When the project is complete, Douglas Road will be four lanes from the toll road entrance/exit to the west through the Indiana 23 intersection and beyond.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is supervising construction.
